Reviews for Hokkien Bak Kut Teh Papar
Review highlights
Based on 235 reviewsHokkien Bak Kut Teh Papar is commonly praised for its flavorful herbal broth and tender pork, maintaining a nostalgic appeal among long-time patrons. Situated conveniently by the Pan Borneo Highway, it serves as a popular stop for travelers in the Papar region. The restaurant is noted for its reasonable pricing and friendly service, though some diners find the food moderately salty or express that the taste could be improved. The setting is a simple roadside stall with a metal roof, which can get warm but does not detract from the overall experience. While it may not compel distant travel solely for the food, it remains a recommended spot for those seeking authentic Hokkien-style bak kut teh in Sabah.
Delicious food. Serve pork. Non halal. For those who travel to Papar, Keningau or Beaufort will pass by here. Can stop for lunch.
Very nice food & friendly staff. Situated next to Pan Borneo Highway. Price reasonable. A bit hot under metal roof as expected but no complains
Food so so la, the taste could be better. Price is reasonable.
I was a big fans of pork trotters in Beverly Hills when he first open 30 years ago. Fast forward this time I find it a bit more salty but texture or meat and tenderness still maintain.
Its a roadside stall. The taste is herbal-ly and better than most of the bak kut teh shop at KK. But its a stretch if would drive that far for a bak kut teh. If you have not yet try before, it is worth to go.
